Core Conditioning Exercises Empty
PostSubject: Core Conditioning Exercises   Core Conditioning Exercises EmptyFri Sep 20, 2013 6:07 pm

The core is the most important part of your body. It consists of your back and abdominal muscles and is responsible for keeping you erect and keeping your insides from falling out. However, most people ignore their core except for the occasional sit up or crunch, in favor of their arms and legs. This is like a tree ignoring its trunk in favor of its branches. It will not be too long until a good wind knocks it down.

There are a number of great exercises that work your core at the same time as they work your arms and legs. These are referred to as multi joint or compound exercises because they work more than one muscle group at the same time.

For example, the dead lift is working the back of the legs, the forearms, the shoulders and the back and the abs.

The squat works the front of the legs and the butt as well as the abs and the lower back because they must help you maintain balance.

The clean and jerk will work the front of the legs, the biceps and forearms and the shoulders. But they will also work the lower back and the abs while you are struggling to get the weight over head and balance it there.
