well start with Picasso as the original cubism artist along with braque. cubism was about breaking down forms, and using a monochromatic color scheme. the picture plane was flattened as well. it was very fragmented. it was a revolutionary movement but short-lived. a second type of cubism is more like collage, so you might want to be pick a later collage artist and you could say they were influenced by cubism. another good pick to compare with the original idea of cubism would be the futurist artist Boccaccio.
